1. Bed and Slant Design

The bed is the foundation of a slant-bed CNC lathe and supports all other components. Its slanted design allows for better chip removal and improved visibility during machining. The slant also helps distribute cutting forces more evenly, enhancing stability and accuracy. Made from cast iron or other high-strength materials, the bed provides durability and ensures precise alignment of moving parts.

2. Spindle and Chuck

The spindle is the rotating axis that drives the workpiece, while the chuck holds it securely in place. The spindle is powered by a motor and can reach varying speeds depending on the machining requirements. High-quality bearings ensure smooth rotation and minimal vibration. The chuck can be manual or hydraulic, providing a strong grip on different workpiece sizes and shapes, which is essential for accurate and consistent machining.

3. Tool Turret and Cutting Tools

The tool turret is a rotating or indexing component that holds multiple cutting tools. It allows for quick tool changes during complex operations, improving efficiency. Various cutting tools, such as turning, drilling, and threading tools, can be mounted on the turret to perform multiple machining processes without manual intervention. The precise movement of the turret ensures high accuracy and repeatability.

4. Control System and Drive Mechanism

The control system includes the CNC interface, programmable logic controller (PLC), and software that direct all machine operations. The drive mechanism, including motors and ball screws, enables precise movement of the carriage, turret, and tailstock. Together, these components allow for automated, accurate, and repeatable machining, making slant-bed CNC lathes highly versatile for industrial applications.

The transmission adopts the linear rolling guideway imported from Taiwan to meet the requirements of high speed and high efficiency, reduce the friction resistance and temperature rise deformation, improve the machining accuracy, and ensure the long-term stability of the machining accuracy.
In the design of the CNC lathe, the bearing of the spindle box adopts double row cylindrical roller bearing with high rigidity, and the heat dissipation adopts measures to reduce the thermal deformation of the spindle so that the relative stability of the spindle axis can be maintained when the spindle works for a long time.
